I believe therapy and change is ultimately about questioning, constructing and understanding meaning in one’s experience and exploring that in a phenomenological context. I operate from an assumption of assets versus an assumption of deficits as a counselor. I specialize in anxiety and depression, identity issues, life transitions, couples and relationships. I work extensively with trauma survivors to help them better understand the experience without reinforcing victimhood. At the Clara Martin Center I worked with people who had been recently incarcerated, diagnosed with a mental illness or had been psychiatrically hospitalized.
