Therapist Overview

Before private practice I worked for UTMB-CMC within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. There I primarily treated young adults, adults, and elderly suffering from psychosis spectrum, mood, and personality disorders. I also have experience working with adjustment, anxiety, complicated grief, trauma related, obsessive compulsive, and substance use disorders. It was there that I developed a passion to find interventions that not only address serious mental health issues, but also earlier interventions in order to prevent more severe symptoms and/or environmental consequences later in life. I primarily utilize (ACT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and (DBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My goal is not to pathologize normal behaviors, or difficult and unwanted parts of the human experience, but to help you increase psychological flexibility. With the goal of improving coping skills, and helping you live towards a life that you value. I am proud to be one of two in the Houston area
