Therapist Overview

Before pursuing a career in counseling, I always felt a sense of mystery around what therapy was and who was “qualified” to go. I tend to believe that others may have similar feelings about counseling, so the first thing I like to do when I meet someone new is clearly articulate what we are stepping into together. Utilizing the therapeutic relationship, I hope to create a safe, healing environment that promotes greater self-awareness and meaning. Through talk therapy, I seek to help clients unlock more fulfilling lives through establishing an understanding of both present circumstance as well as past relationships. I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, spiritual issues, struggles with identity, adjustment difficulties, and health concerns (specifically with patients working through a cancer diagnosis and the ensuing treatment process). I understand that taking the step to meet with a therapist is not a simple task. I want to make that first hurdle as easy as possible for you. My hope in establishing a therapeutic relationship is that we can foster a judgement-free environment that helps unlock your ability to thrive. You can call or email me if you’d like to set up a time to meet.
