My clients are adults who want to feel better. They want peace from sadness, anxiety and stress. They feel stuck in patterns they want to change but do not know how to change. They are unhappy with where they are in life, with their interpersonal relationships and/or work. Therapy offers an opportunity to reset parts of the past that are painful and effect life today. At its best therapy infuses clients with hope, teaches clients self- care and fosters resiliency. My work is grounded in psychodynamic theory. It helps to understand why we are the way we are but that alone doesn’t always bring the change we want .That being said my work is infused with techniques from Internal Family Therapy (IFS) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I work with clients both long and short term. I have about 30 years of experience.I am open to & affirming of clients who are different than me & who may may have an alternative life style.
