Therapist Overview

As humans we are conditioned to avoid pain and we think and behave in certain ways learned through our upbringing, culture and other life experiences. Therapy gives us the opportunity to reflect on these experiences and interpretations of the world in order to recognize what is no longer serving us. Sometimes all we need is the right guidance to get on the right course of change or action. I have been a therapist for over 15 years, having had the opportunity to work with people of all ages and backgrounds in different settings including medical facilities. I have been trained in several modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive therapy, psychodynamics and strengths based therapy. As men, especially in this day and age, it is often difficult to know where we stand and fit in and how to address this. My main focus area has been working with men in developing an acceptance for who we are and figuring out who we want to be.
