Therapist Overview
Most of my clients have a substance use disorder which manifests as serious behavioral issues, that leads to biopsychosocial impairments. Some clients had contact with the criminal justice system, state and local agencies, school, employment and others due to undesirable behavior, and they need help turning their life around. I enjoy speaking with clients who would like to improve their quality of life but don’t know where and how to begin. As a person-centered therapist, I help individuals believe in the power and strength they have within themselves to do the work necessary for change. I encourage my clients to be aware of their thoughts, emotions and, their decisions so they I listened actively with empathy and genuineness to all my clients as they share experiences and feelings of life events and situations that stifled growth and personal development. I enjoy asking open-ended questions so clients can explore their feelings about the past and the opportunities they have ahead for making their best life-changing decisions.
