Howard Brenner (Octave)

I am an immigrant to the US and previously had a career in television production, so have a very specific understanding around life transitions, identity and change. I know that making change is not easy. In order to get you where you want to be, I like to take a collaborative approach and explore at a pace that works for you. My goal is to support and understand you, while helping you to identify your current patterns and to begin to explore their origins. I am comfortable discussing our process as we experience it. I believe that building a strong relationship with my clients is key to the therapeutic process. Starting out in therapy can be a complex and daunting task. I consider myself to be a warm, compassionate, humorous, supportive and empathic clinician, who can make that process more comfortable for you. I am trained in contemporary psychotherapy and work in a relational manner. I will endeavor to work with you in a way that feels holistic and organic. I believe that therapy helps individuals identify that they have many more options than they feel they do. I create an empowering environment in which to make those options seem more possible. Ultimately, I want you to learn to have better moments and then to build upon those moments.
