I earned a Ph.D. in psychology at Northeastern University and then I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Pediatrics and Behavioral Medicine at the Kennedy-Krieger Institute. From 1979 to 1993, I was the Director of the Behavioral Medicine and Biofeedback Clinic at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions.
