Therapist Overview

For 25 years I worked with over 16,000 suicidal patients on the mental health unit of St. Francis Hospital with my office partner, Dr. Sunida Bintasan, Adolescent/Child Psychiatrist (who also works with adults). From observing their common patterns, I created an educational program (for persons with issues of deep despair, hopelessness, depression, recurrent suicidal thinking) called Contextual-Conceptual Therapy (CCT). Combining expressive arts techniques, education, and therapy using “maps, models, & metaphors”, it helps clients discover the roots of their suicidal thinking/ deep despair to develop healthier relationships. Clients come to me often feeling “trapped, stuck, and lost.” Initially, I refer them to my website (www.SuicideTherapy.com) and the “CCT Questionnaire” posted there. If they can circle 5 or more statements as “True”, then chances are we will be a good fit! Currently w/ ZOOM access.
