Often times traumatic experiences, abuse, or instances of systemic oppression leave us believing we are undeserving and unworthy. These beliefs permeate into our cognitive and behavioral patterns, leaving them guided by fear, shame, and anxiety. Change is possible when you learn to shift out of judgement and into compassionate, curiosity. Together, we will navigate through discomfort in order to open space for acceptance, and inner peace. As a trauma-competent counselor, I use a holistic, bottom-up approach to promote wellness & body awareness. This enables people to gain mastery over the body’s response to stimuli in order to calm the nervous system and remain present & grounded. I also offer Brainspotting therapy, a revolutionary modality that allows for deeper processing and release work.
