Therapist Overview

I work with children, adolescents and adults who may be facing stressful circumstances, life transitions or conflicted relationships. My approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from various therapeutic approaches based on the specific needs of the client. My goal is to provide an environment of safety and trust in which patterns and conflicts can be openly explored in order to increase self awareness, decrease anxiety and depression and improve one’s overall sense of well-being. Though I have postgraduate training in psychodynamic therapy, I incorporate short-term modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when appropriate. When working with children/adolescents, I prefer to work closely with their parents in order to provide support and work towards improving the parent-child relationship when needed.
