Therapist Overview
I work with children, teenagers, and adults with a variety of behavioral, mood, and relationship challenges. Through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), we work to change thoughts, behaviors and emotions that interfere with life satisfaction, happiness, day-to-day functioning and relationships. In addition to CBT, my therapeutic style incorporates supportive therapy, parent therapy, and stress management. I strive to develop a collaborative and respectful relationship with my clients in a safe environment to decrease anxiety, improve mood and relationships, and help create a stronger sense of self-competency and self-worth. Specific areas of interest include anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, psychological testing, assessment of learning disabilities, life stress and relationship difficulties. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and participated in a post-doctoral fellowship in family therapy in Washington, D.C.
