I consider psychotherapy to be a project between two people in which the goal is to understand both conscious and unconscious sources of emotional pain and ultimately open a space in which to alleviate suffering. The result is a very singular relationship that encourages multiple readings of itself and of all the relationships that have come before it. Through an understanding of feelings, relationships, and a deepening of inner and outer dialogue, we can enter a process of healing which leads to the shedding of old and destructive patterns.
