Therapist Overview
I work with those who are hard on themselves and are burdened with unprecedented responsibility right now. High responsibilities often lead to isolation as we try to hide our fears, doubts, and sadness from those that rely on us. Isolating can increase negative coping skills, like over or under eating/drinking/sleeping. Therapy should become a place to process your inner thoughts and concerns, find balance, and find some new tools to feeling more grounded. If you’re are a first responder, medical/MH worker, or care giver, you are being pulled in so many directions with less resources and time to engage in self care than ever before I use a range of therapy interventions pending on your identified needs to help you feel less alone, happier, and more in control of your daily life. I will meet you where you are at, always give honest feedback, and encourage you to move toward the goals you set. My work is typically about making changes from topics like relationships, work, and trauma. Regardless of why you are considering counseling, therapy is where you can be yourself, at times explore painful topics, and move toward self-acceptance, growth, and change. Therapy is also a place where you get unbiased feedback, professional guidance, and an empathetic ear. I promise to be a gentle straight shooter and be the sounding board you need.
