Therapist Overview

My practice is based on treating each person as an adult who has the power to create positive changes in their life. I am only there to help each person with their goals. I believe everyone has the capacity to change their life for the better. Sometimes though, someone has to be willing to sit with us in the darkness first. I believe that no matter what has happened there is a spark in each one of us, that once lit gives us the chance to change our own lives. Sometimes we just need someone to hold a candle up to our lives and help us see that it is worth living, worth changing; that we ourselves are worth the risk and the hope. My practice includes integrating mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills, CBT and Ego Supportive Psychotherapy. I am straightforward and compassionate. I have an eclectic approach. After 20 plus years of practicing, I believe each person is different and that the client does not fit the therapy rather the therapy/therapies must fit the client.
