Therapist Overview

***NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS*** Emotions can be complex, especially if you are born emotionally sensitive and did not learn how to cope with them effectively. Often times these individuals experience their emotions as painful and do not know how to regulate them. This can lead to self-destructive behavior, impulsive behavior, lack of attentional control, depression, aggression, drug abuse, physical/verbal outbursts, problems with relationships, and inability to control emotion. I help my clients learn how to take control of their emotions, their lives, and live a life that is worth living. I specialize in children (6-12) with their families, adolescents, young adults, and substance abuse. I do see adults on occasion. Parents are required to be involved in the treatment process for DBT-C (dialectical behavior therapy for children). I offer video counseling for clients who are appropriate.
