Therapist Overview
Do you feel like you’ve never fully been able to put the past behind you, no matter how hard you’ve tried? Perhaps you find yourself making the same mistakes over and over or inadvertently repeating self-destructive behaviors, reacting in a way that doesn’t fit with how you want to behave in your adult life. Or maybe you even have nightmares or memories that pop up on their own that feel as awful as it did the day that it happened. Do you ever feel worthless, ashamed, powerless, unsafe, or not good enough? If any of this feels true, you’re not alone. I’ve worked with clients that experience this and more for the past 11 years. I work with clients to help them understand how their life experiences have affected them, no matter how big or small the event, both in their personal and/or professional life. We identify the unhelpful beliefs and behaviors that were created to be able to survive these events and work to change these. If this sounds interesting to you, I can help. At The Cabin, we offer meet and greet consultations at no cost to you so you can make sure that I’m the right therapist for you. If it feels like a good fit, I’d be honored to join you on your journey to healing from your past and being able to live contently in your present. (*Now specializing in working with first responders as well.)
