Bethany De La Cruz

My name is Bethany De La Cruz. I received specialized training in child clinical mental health counseling through the world-renowned Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas, and am a member of the Ohio Association for Play Therapy. My passion is to provide a safe therapeutic atmosphere in which children can freely express thoughts and feelings and increase both self-awareness and self-regulation through play. I also believe in the therapeutic power of family and educators in the life of a child and strongly encourage their involvement in the therapeutic process. While my primary specialization is play-based therapy for children, I also offer activity and talk therapy for adolescents and adults. In therapy with individuals across the lifespan, I strive to encourage holistic wellness through increased awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, at the client’s pace.
