Therapist Overview
Accepting new clients. In addition to psychotherapy for anxiety and depression, I also provide counseling and coaching to clients managing change in their lives and those seeking personal growth and insight. I help clients navigate various challenges including relationships, career, and changes in their health status due to aging, illness or injury. I work with clients seeking enhanced motivation to tackle behavioral changes related to work and health. I trained as a psychotherapist after a long career as a lawyer and enjoy helping clients focus on pragmatic goals as well as the philosophical challenges that life presents. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and received training in CBT from the Beck Institute in addition to my masters from UT. CBT is usually enhanced by other treatment modalities such as Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology delivered in the context of a warm, respectful therapeutic relationship. Clinical training–LIVESTRONG.
