Therapist Overview

Many conditions can affect our cognition, interfering with skills such as learning, memory, attention, problem solving, planning, or processing information. Neuropsychology is focused on understanding how brain health impacts cognition and behavior and using that information to make or clarify a diagnosis, develop an appropriate treatment plan, and/or monitor cognitive abilities over time. I work closely with each patient to thoroughly assess cognitive strengths and weaknesses in the context of their unique environment. I incorporate family and other providers to best understand how difficulties interfere with daily life. I then develop treatment plans to address challenges and help patients achieve established goals. I evaluate individuals with neurological conditions (stroke, dementia, brain injury, hydrocephalus), complex medical comorbidities (infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain), neurodevelopmental disorders (learning disorders, ADHD), and psychiatric disorders
