Alison W. Silver

Alison Silver is a licensed clinical social worker with nearly two decades of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including residential treatment, outpatient clinics, schools, and community-based treatment. She is a professional member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work. She provides individual therapy, play therapy, and parent guidance for children birth-13 years old and specializes in working with preschool-age children. Children often express their feelings through behaviors, rather than with words. Alison Silver helps parents and children to understand why behaviors are occurring, the underlying feelings that are causing them, and healthier ways to express those feelings.
