Therapist Overview
Knowing your story and offering support, as well as reflection and encouragement are the reasons why I enjoy the counseling process! These attributes are also a large part of what makes therapy successful. I have experience working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, religious/spiritual conflicts and life transitions. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Bethany University in California, a Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Arizona and have worked in the Behavioral Health Field for the last 20 years. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and I utilize therapeutic strategies based on CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and Narrative Therapy during the counseling process.
