The below list represents mental health professionals who have achieved the status of National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Through the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. (NBCC), NCCs meet examination-based professional certification. These requirements will include:

  • Master’s degree from a CACREP-accredited degree program or a counseling program that is an institutionally accredited institute
  • 100 hours of post-graduate counseling in a minimum of 24-month period
  • Endorsement from a professional colleague who holds a mental health master’s degree
  • 3,000 hours of post-graduate counseling in a minimum of 24-month period
  • Passing NCE score or NCMHCE score
