Therapist Overview

I work best with clients who want to build more meaningful lives. My work is based in helping people who feel unsatisfied or out of control to connect to themselves and move forward accordingly. The clients I work with often report feeling overwhelmed by their emotions, numb to their emotions, or some combination of the two. This emotional dysregulation tends to leave people feeling helpless or out of control; in therapy, I work together with clients to move toward a vibrant way of living and an understanding of the power they hold to shape their lives for the better. To help clients manage difficult behaviors and overwhelming emotions, I start with building a strong working relationship focused on providing the treatments and strategies clients ask for. I use a wide range of techniques, including emotional support and specific short and long term strategies. People who work with me appreciate that I don’t become overwhelmed by their experiences, and that I can effectively support them
