I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and learning any my approach would be to help them reach their unique and individual personal potential. Struggles may arise for people when they lack the necessary skills to cope effectively with difficult situations or painful emotions. Through counseling the therapist and client work together to explore the client’s inner world. The goal is increased self-awareness coupled with problem solving to remove obstacles to facilitate positive change in the client’s life. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling from Lewis and Clark College. I also hold Masters Degrees School Psychology and Special Education and a Ph.D. in Learning Assessment/Systems Performance from the University of Oregon. For my counseling degree major course work focused on students/children.
