Therapist Overview
I enjoy working with both individuals and couples, helping my clients to manage life challenges and transitions, better manage mood disorders, relational issues and empowerment struggles. The constant sense of curiosity and helpfulness is what I have enjoyed most in my 17 years as a Marriage and Family therapist. Going through life’s changes and cycles myself has allowed me to relate to and care about the life experiences of others. I have incorporated newer modalities such as EMDR and Neurofeedback to enhance my treatment protocols. In addition to the basic DBT framework for treatment, I implement EMDR to help clients manage trauma, from early childhood experiences or recent trauma. I find it to be very helpful. I also use Neurofeedback or brain computer interface to help individuals manage mood disorders, ADHD, sleep problems or to improve workplace or academic functioning.
