The patients with whom I have worked have most appreciated the empathy and understanding I bring to our sessions about the problems with which they are struggling. Together with the client, I have helped each individual develop a deeper understanding of their problems and its origins and helped them use this understanding to create a resolution to those problems. I have been able to help clients with various issues including depression and other moods disorders like bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorders, Substance abuse disorders, Family, Parenting and Marital/Relationship problems, as well as issues of Adolescents. I work with clients to help them gain insight, both cognitive and emotional, into the way their particular personality keeps their problem functioning. Eg., OCD’s tend to over intellectualize but experience less of their feelings. By keeping experience out of the picture, they feel safer. Treatment involves helping them learn to tolera
