Therapist Overview
I believe that hope is one of the most important things I can help a person find. I tend to utilize a wide range of therapeutic approaches because I fully believe that therapy is most effective when it matches the unique set of needs and dynamics that each client brings to the session. I incorporate techniques from the following theories and treatment modalities: Cognitive-Behavioral; Dialectical-Behavioral; Supportive; and, Person-Centered. I have been a therapist in the same rural community since 2002, having worked in both community mental health and private practice. I am experienced in working with all age groups and many problem areas, but I have found a passion working with: veterans; couples/families; individuals with personality disorders, bipolar, depression, anxiety, and, PTSD; trauma; and, adolescent concerns.
