I specialize in trauma recovery and couples therapy. So many of us have grown up in toxic and dysfunctional family systems, where we experienced chronic shame, abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. The survival skills we developed in childhood to cope with family dysfunction and toxicity no longer work for us in adulthood; however they become the skills we rely on when our intimate relationships experience conflict and stress.
