Even with supportive families, living in an unpredictable world can lead to hurt and confusion, so most of us at some juncture in our lives need someone to help us understand ourselves. Many of the people I see have less than supportive backgrounds that have impacted their ability to trust themselves or others I like working with people who are psychologically curious. I foster this curiosity as I believe it promotes growth while self-judgment inhibits growth. I respect for my clients immensely. I see myself as walking along side them on a journey that requires honesty and courage. I have had training and supervision in analytic oriented psychotherapy. I enjoy helping clients realize how they re-enact patterns in their lives based on earlier attachment experiences. With anxiety clients however I work less analytically, instead helping them behaviorally face their fears at a pace that works for them.
