Therapist Overview

A Piney Woods native, I graduated from Texas State University with a MA in Professional Counseling in 2011, and started my career working in small-town Central Texas, then Austin, specializing in LGBTQIA+ issues with clients ages 12+. I also enjoy working with clients on coping with personality disorders, psychotic symptoms, grief, addictions, and of course anxiety and depression. Using authenticity, warmth, humor, and a variety of therapeutic techniques, I can create a comfortable environment to help you guide me through your story. Sometimes finding your place in the gray areas between extremes can be difficult and frightening. Society loves binaries, so finding yourself fitting into neither or both categories can feel lonely, especially when people around you don’t seem to understand. As a non-binary transmasculine East Texan, I quite understand. If you need help finding yourself and how you fit, I’ll listen without judging, and let you teach me about yourself and your life.
