Therapist Overview
Sometimes, life throws things at us that can knock us off course, resulting in responses like sadness, depression, anxiety or anger. We’ll work together to help you understand how you arrived where you are and how to reclaim your resilience and your place in life. We’ll focus on how to re-establish balance, regain confidence and walk a path of healing and hope. I enjoy working with older teens, adults and elders and use a blend of approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, psychodynamic work and trauma-informed treatment. I am a practitioner of EMDR therapy, which can help to reduce overwhelming responses to traumatic events. EMDR is evidenced-based and well-researched. I focus on working with trauma-related conditions, life transitions, women’s issues, divorced families, high-conflict divorce, abuse, elder issues and grief and loss. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Together, we will help you find the path that is uniquely yours.
