Therapist Overview
How to be a good parent is one of the most widely searched parenting questions on the web. So many parents are searching for answers to improve their relationship with their child. It can be frustrating to see your child struggling or constantly challenging your every move. You may ask yourself, where did I go wrong? What should I have done differently? The truth is, there is no “one perfect parenting style”. You can, however, learn the skills needed to support your child’s unique developmental needs and teach your child the necessary skills to communicate his/her needs. It’s never too late to implement change. I specialize in Psychodynamic Therapy and I offer services to children and adults. I have experience supporting school-aged children who have worked through challenges, such as trouble concentrating or sitting still, depression/anxiety, PTSD, behavioral and/or interpersonal challenges, selective mutism, adjusting to life’s transitions, and more. I enjoy implementing play and expressive arts therapy with children and using their passions and hobbies to teach them the skills they need to succeed in the community and at school. I will help your child create and/or strengthen the foundational skills they will need to succeed in school, adolescence, and the rest of their life.
