Pamela Diane Atteberry

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker specializing in consultation and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families. My work incorporates aspects of cognitive behavior therapy, psycho-education, family systems theories, and mindfulness. Clients include individuals impacted by neurodevelopmental differences including, but not limited to, those diagnosed with developmental disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, and loss. The focus: social skills, emotion regulation, executive functioning, parent coaching, and support in educational environments. Together, we will explore how beliefs and behaviors contribute to our emotional experiences and overall functioning. A multicultural and social justice perspective is integrated throughout my work, and I take into account the impact of racism, classism, sexism, homophobia, gender identity, and other forms of discrimination impacting health and well-being. I have specialized in culturally-responsive student services at both local public and independent schools. Work in the educational setting includes both curriculum and program development. Focus includes mentorship and training regarding inclusion, social skill development, Positive Discipline, gender diversity, executive function, and mindfulness.
