Therapist Overview
I am passionate about holding a comforting and compassionate space for my clients as we walk together towards finding balance physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is my hope that in exploring your story that you may mend the wounds of the past and celebrate the joys of life. I’m a graduate of Aurora University with a Masters in Social Work. I strive to help individuals find freedom from anxiety, certainty in the face of confusion, and stable ground in recovering from trauma. As a trauma informed clinician I operate from different therapeutic styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I specialize in working with trauma recovery, family of origin issues, self-medicating behaviors, anxiety and depression, codependency, and Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA). My expertise is in helping clients discover how coping mechanisms that were once valuable may no longer be and examine how family of origin constraints can shape personal narratives. Our response to our troubles can impact us daily, making it difficult to manage our lives and be the person we want to be. Through the hard work spent in therapy it is possible to find relief and move closer toward who we want to be. If you are suffering please reach out for help. For the courage you demonstrate today may begin your path to healing.
