Therapist Overview
I have been in practice for 32 years. Over time, my work has expanded from exclusive focus on treating adult children of alcoholics, to include- eating disorders, families of bipolar patients, academic underachievement, depression/ anxiety, trauma, and grief. Often these issues are interrelated, and sometimes the singular matter. Women-in-transition groups have also been a mainstay of my practice. Recently, I included hypnotherapy to deepen the experience where appropriate. As the practice continues to grow, I’m reminded daily that it is my life’s privilege to work with families and individuals, helping in the growth and healing process. Including hypnotherapy to the practice has added a new dimension to treatment. Emotional roadblocks, self limiting beliefs, and paralyzing fears can be released within hypnosis. As well, the process of self-discovery can be enhanced by learning to use hypnotherapy tools.
