Life isn’t always in our control (and no, I’m not a fan of that either). In therapy, we can learn to manage the things within our control – so that we are better equipped to contend with life’s inevitable ups and downs. Whether you’re experiencing a big transition, stress from everyday life, a personal loss, or a severe mental illness – we can work together to make things easier. I have experience treating individuals with a variety of concerns or mental health diagnoses. I strive to make everyone – of any body shape/size, sexuality, gender, race, religion, or disability – comfortable in the therapy room (and in their own skins). While I use several evidence-based therapeutic models, my approach begins by building a therapeutic relationship built on compassion and respect. I work to help my clients find – and learn to trust – their own inner wisdom and resilience, and I emphasize self-compassion as an integral part of the therapeutic process. It’s challenging to find the right therapist – someone you can trust to be compassionate and non-judgmental while helping you navigate life’s challenges or complex feelings.
