Therapist Overview
I take joy in helping people discover that they are not alone, they do not have to be afraid of their pasts or feelings, and they can heal. I work with a variety of issues including trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, boundaries, women’s and men’s issues, and life transitions. I take a collaborative and systemic approach to working through areas of concern and adapt treatment to the individual’s needs, background, and values. I believe in giving people effective tools immediately to reduce stress and build momentum in treatment. I counsel from a trauma-informed perspective and use attachment-focused EMDR for resourcing and trauma work. I also use attachment concepts for healing past issues, CBT to identify any beliefs that may be blocking progress, and person centered theory to increase self-awareness and empowerment.
