Robert Nuffer Counseling

I have practiced as a clinical social worker for over 40 years working in hospitals, mental health centers, hospice programs and private practice. During that time, I have worked with a variety of people dealing with loss, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts and death. I have learned to be a skilled listener and an active consultant drawing from my life experience and training. In my work I use my training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and trauma informed treatment interventions to aid clients in solving problems and resolving traumas. I utilize client strengths and supports in my therapy work. Since I am a father, grandfather, veteran and a senior citizen, I am able to work with people who are looking for a therapist who has walked a similar path and understands some of the challenges they face. I bring my experience into my counseling.
