I maintain a “broad outlook” practice. I have a great deal of experience treating and counseling adolescents and young adults. My personal and professional outlook is inclusive and I enjoy working with adults throughout the entire spectrum of life span development. My own life has been richly diverse and rather reflective which informs a therapeutic perspective that is compassionate yet practical. The English word “therapy” comes via Latin from the Greek “therapeia” which means healing path. Effective therapy addresses each client as an individual and as a person in relationships, dealing with the interactions of groups in society. Trauma informs much of modern life so much of my work involves effecting treatment for those experiencing stress and the disruption profound in the aftermath of trauma. Issues of grief, loss, and bereavement are often the root of disorder hence disordered behavior is a dysfunctional accommodation reactive to those problems. My practice includes “Brainspottin
