Therapist Overview
It takes courage to change, especially if you’re unsure what to change or how to do it. You may find yourself stuck in old emotional patterns, struggling to make satisfying connections with others, or overwhelmed by complicated feelings from traumas. Psychotherapy offers a safe relationship where you can better understand yourself and try out new approaches to life. As a counseling psychologist, I am trained to help you clarify what you want from life, reconsider the emotional and relational patterns getting in your way, and discover more satisfying and fulfilling ways of being. Therapy works best when it goes beyond surface symptoms, addresses the root causes of your concerns, and promotes desired change. We develop a collaborative relationship where you can explore all aspects of yourself. I strive to help you see your emotions and relationships clearly and honestly, giving you the chance to make valued changes in your life. I offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples. I specialize in treating complex trauma, personality concerns, and LGBTQ-affirmative treatment. I also provide training to students and professionals and am an adjunct professor at Rosalind Franklin University. I currently have limited availability Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings via teletherapy.
