I believe in the power of being listened to in a genuine, caring manner by someone who is letting go of their own agendas and expectations. I provide that as the foundation of each session, hoping to offer you an atmosphere where you can feel safe and heard, free to listen to your own self and life, and to find your own unique way to healing and better health. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma, or are coping with chronic illness, life changes, conflict, or loss, talk therapy can be of great help. However, other tools can also help, such as EMDR, mindfulness meditation, exercise, nutrition, yoga, creative expression (drawing, journaling, etc.). I think combining these activities with traditional talk therapy gives people the best chance to access their natural tendency to heal and grow, and to experience more enjoyment of their lives.
