Therapist Overview

I offer 4-6 session CBT programs to fight anxiety around body image, relationships, trauma, social situations, self-esteem, work/school issues, chronic health issues, chronic depression, and trauma (sexual and physical abuse, accidents, natural disasters, wars). Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that treats problems and boosts happiness by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which probes patterns and root causes of conflict, CBT focuses on solutions, encouraging patients to challenge distorted cognitions and change destructive patterns of behavior. Here is how my CBT program works. During the initial evaluation, we will identify your emotional, physiological and behavioral responses to your anxiety. I will then create a series of exercises for us to work on during sessions and at home. An assessment is completed to show you your progress.
