Therapist Overview

Thank you for vising my site. Please visit www.marthatate.com to learn more about me and my practice. If you are dealing with: Anxiety- Depression-Stress-Life Transitions-Phobias-Fears-Relational Problems-Identity Crisis-Divorce-Grief, I would love to help. Being human is sometimes painful. It is my deep belief that human beings are programmed with the ability to heal and grow. And, that we often need support in a non-judgmental, safe space with a seasoned therapist to do so. It is my great honor to have offered such a space and respectful presence to clients for more than 30 years. I work with young, middle, elder adults & couples. As a therapist, I am supportive, honest, direct, gentle yet firm and often humorous . My theoretical orientation is: Psychodynamic Theory (the impact of childhood experiences on personality); Myers-Briggs Personality Theory; Clinical Hypnosis/Guided Imagery (using internal focus to heal & manage mood); Mind Body Medicine (integration of mind, body, spirit).
