I focus on helping clients determine their level of substance dependency and cope with their compulsion in everyday life. My clients are given tools to navigate through issues of early recovery (family, job, legal, daily life stressors) and support through post rehab support for dealing with post-acute withdraw symptoms such as depression, anxiety, drug dreams, irritability, fatigue and sleep disturbances. Many people that are afflicted with substance issues also have internal family problems, trauma, attachment disorder and I utilize evidence based interventions such as, attachment focused relational techniques, MBSR, EMDR, Somatic experiencing, as well as more traditional addiction modalities as relapse prevention, Motivational Interviewing, and peer support I am in recovery myself and understand that there is no treatment for addiction that will work for everyone, the main goal is use a non-judgmental approach to help clients make improvements in their lives.
