Therapist Overview
*NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS- December 2020* I am a licensed independent clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I specialize in working with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) individuals, queer & trans/non-binary individuals, transracial adoptees, as well as others who have experienced individual or community trauma or marginalization. I integrate my professional training and therapeutic skills with my lived experience as a queer-identified Korean adoptee. I believe that mental health & healing is connected to one’s personal and social ecosystem, attachment history, somatic awareness, internal core beliefs, and identity integration. I use a relational, somatic, feminist, trauma-focused and narrative approach, along with other modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting and EMDR. With children, I primarily use child-centered play therapy and expressive arts. I work individually with children, tweens, adolescents and adults.
