Therapist Overview

My ideal client is someone who has already begun to reflect on themselves and desire to begin the change process. It is my goal to create a space that is free from judgement and pessimism and to inspire empathy to strengthen our therapeutic relationship. Ultimately I strive to be someone that you can sit with and feel like you are being heard, understood, and valued for your experiences while also receiving constructive criticism. I have experience working with people that have depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem issues. My primary method of therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT revolves around the idea that peoples’ thoughts (cognitions) determine how someone feels or behaves, and by changing our thinking patterns, we can ultimately change our emotions and behaviors. I also adapt other methodologies to best meet the needs of the client. I am willing to speak to any questions or concerns about my process or therapy in general. I became a therapist because I want to help people with both their daily and life struggles. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me so that we can start the change process together.
