Therapist Overview
As a somatic-based counselor, my aim is to support you in reinhabiting your innate wisdom and sense of belonging. Many of the difficulties that we encounter are due to separation, whether it be from caregivers, community, or our own body and heart. Healing can begin by reaching out to another for guidance and reestablishing connection. Many of my clients seek me out to reconnect to their sense of self and embodying their values. I work often with others in their journey through identity explorations, anxiety, stress, grief/ loss, body image, disordered eating, spirituality and the healing of trauma. My approach is empathic, collaborative and embodied. In our work together, we will explore the ways in which systemic forces impact your lived experience. I draw from mindfulness and body-based therapies such as yoga therapy and Somatic Experiencing. My work is informed by social justice, anti-racism, neurobiology, attachment theory, and HAES. Listening to embodied wisdom is a radical act
