Life is full of changes and challenges. I feel that each of us has strengths that we can draw on when life is difficult. I approach the therapeutic relationship with this perspective that we can move forward using those resiliencies that make us unique and strong in our own ways. I feel that therapy should tend toward immediate interventions that the individual can employ in their life long term with lasting results. I enjoy working with people of all ages. Recently, I have specialized in working with families, children, autism, developmental delays, trauma, grief and loss. I prefer brief therapy models. I feel therapy should focus on the individual’s goals creating lasting, positive change quickly. Treatment strategies are developed with input from the client and based on their needs. Motivational Interviewing, Social Thinking, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Attachment theory (Circle of Security Model), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are models I use frequently.
