Doug Culbert

I am a clinical psychologist practicing in downtown Chicago, Hyde Park, and in Evanston, Illinois. I treat adults, adolescents, and young adults, providing assessments, psychotherapy and case management. I provide treatment for addictions, anxiety and depression, life transitions, and grief and loss. In my twenty five years of clinical practice I have repeatedly seen that change is possible, and that as individuals we can take steps to be happy and feel fulfilled in our lives. Psychotherapy is an important tool for seeking these goals. I completed graduate training at Illinois Institute of Technology and was a psychology fellow at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Mental Health Center. I previously served as an associate director at the University of Chicago Student Counseling Service, where I was the senior psychologist and coordinator for substance abuse assessment and services.
